Yesterday was like a sanctuary for me and Marita. Being with struggling parents like you was truly encouraging. The Lord created community for this purpose (Paul calls it the 'fellowship of the Spirit'). And with this blog, the fellowship continues.
Why was it encouraging and reassuring? Here are our thoughts...
First, no parent is a super-parent. No one has all the answers. But all our contribution put together creates a storehouse of wisdom that enriches each one.
Two. Parenting is always with a bias. We all come from a perspective. And our perspectives, being human, are all subject to err. Only our Great Parent, our Father in heaven, is a-perspective. And in His mercy He comes to us with no bias and only Truth. And the beauty is, we get a glimpse of His perfect truth when we gather together like yesterday...and that is enough for the challenge before us.
Last but not least. When we came together yesterday, honesty prevailed. We were honest with one another that's why we were able to verbalize our fears. And when we come together without pretensions, problems get solved.
